Back in the fall when the stock market plunge was occuring, my guess was that the Dow would bottom out at 7000. So, if the office pool had started back then, i'd be out.

My new guess is 5000 for the Dow, 500 for the S&P. Basically, those are the 1995 levels of the stock market and some writer of some article i read somewhere mentioned that as the new bottom.

I refuse to predict a bottom, since that would pretty much be a guarantee that the market will break it.

I got a job offer from a company that sells financial analysis software to big financial companies. I'm kind of glad I had to turn it down.

Low. As in a 90% loss on my XM Sirius Stock. Stupid auto market and corrupt CEOs. In reality I am jealous and I too want to be a corrupt Executive.

Jerry Jurgensen owned a crapload of stock in Nationwide public company which he then decided to buy from himself. But then he felt bad 'cuz because of poor economy nobody was getting any bonuses this year and he made so much money, so he decided to institute some bonuses back... That's when the board of directors had a problem with him... So, basically corporate America says it's ok to be corrupt, as long as you keep being cynical to company's benefit...

This also happens to be a great time to start your 401k as your money can buy a whole lot more shares than usual, but personally I chose to keep my 3% in my pocket which I'll need for that spring break coming up!
